How The Royal Couple Came To Be-

Just to add, Wolfram behaves more impulsively because of Cecilie's shampoo, and all the events that happened after it. So, Wolfram wouldn't really have done all that if not for his heightened emotions and his disdain for "the new maou" that came up suddenly. I feel like people tend to forget that part and label Wolfram as impulsive, when clearly he is not. He is just your cute haughty Wagamama Puu- "A yapping Pomeranian" in Yuuri's words. And we see his character development as well, and a lot at that, while he also keeps this cute to a fault side going.

Wolfram is a precious little one, and I'll always defend him.

How the Royal Couple came to be-

Since I really didn't have anything to share yet (cause my fic is making me sweat buckets) so I thought I could share this awesome part of how our Royal Couple were engaged. It is so amazingly written that every line makes me laugh and hold a different emotion.

You feel it more once you thoroughly know all the novel characters, or have travelled with them through some part of the 17 volume long adventure. It is a wonderful and tender feeling, when you know how they'd grow from this point on. And develop because of a misunderstanding of all things!All you need is a quick read of chapter 4 of volume 1 and you find so much.

Conrart's years of wait and his mission when he assures Wolfram that he can never mistake Yuuri.

Gwendal's years of dedication and calm care when he accepts Yuuri but had increased frown lines when he concluded that Yuuri didn't want to be a Maou- knowing him it was probably his way of taking care of him, probably indirectly saying "You don't need to burden yourself with something you don't want to do".

We also see Wolfram's judgement, as even though he was annoyed but he had his reasons because he didn't want to witness this country go through another war. All he wanted was a ruler who loved this country and he'd serve him gladly. Thankfully he did get one.

We see the forshadowing of Julia's soul when Yuuri mentions he can always know when Conrart is smiling.

We see a Günter in the initial stage of becoming Heika fanatic and spilling juices all around.

We see Cecilie's love for her children, and her husbands. Their unique but endearing mother-son bond.

We see the acceptance of homosexuality as another form of love. Because, love is free to pursue!- in Lady Cheri's words.

We also witness Shin Makoku's culture, it's delicacies and know how different it is just as much as it is similar. (Admit it, we are all secretly glad for Yuuri's clumsiness- and him not wanting to punch the beautiful face🤣)

All of this woven humorously, just like how Takabayashi-sensei does. And, I realise, yet again, just how much this novel means to me.

The best way to do it. Jin looks so done with it.🤣😂

OMG! Go and like this yuuram doujinshi. I’m crying! Part 1 |  Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | It’s about Yuuri and Wolf doing the New Year’s prayers on Earth and Wolf’s like we did it last year, why must we do it again. And Yuuri’s explaining like it’s a brand new start, like a blank page to forget the bad things. And Wolf’s like I don’t want a blank page. And then the sun comes out, and Yuuri’s like the weather is beautiful I’m sure good things will happen this year . And it shines on Wolfie making him all sparkly and Yuuri’s like, it’s really perfect. And then the last one is him saying I don’t wanna start from scratch either. And Wolf’s like what did you say? And he’s like nothing. I’m gonna try hard being a maou this year, too. So beautiful. TwT

This is why the novels are awesome!! And so is the Royal Couple!

WHY WAS THIS PART NOT ANIMATEDDDDD

I did exactly that. I started with the anime. I loved the Royal Couple so much that I wanted more content and so I got to know about the manga(since I'm not a LN reader). Then I found out a few artwork which were done by Temari-sensei and turned out to be the novel illustrations. I was that of Wolf and Yuuri from Seisakoku arc and I just couldn't contain my curiosity when I realised there is more content. So went ahead and read the Novels from the Seisakoku arc. Then after finishing it and realising the character difference and the amazing work of Takabayashi-sensei I went ahead and read the whole LN from Vol 1 to 17 again. It was highly satisfying!! It is a beautiful work! Truly a masterpiece! With the characters and story line being so wonderfully unique and entertaining in its own way. And the LN is dark!! It is so good that way.

Is this show done? How about the novels its 2019 and i just started watchingthe anime.where does the anime leave off in regards to the manga/novel

Anime and manga are finished, the novels aren’t (although the story line is way ahead of the others).

In my personal opinion watch the anime first, then read the manga , lastly read the novels, so you go from worst to best format.(If you read the novels first it will be impossible to watch the anime.)After about chapter 40 in the anime, it goes its own way separate from the novels. Same with the manga after chapter 96.Both of these take place at the end of the Caloria arc (novel 8).If you really can’t be bothered to read the early novels (which are completely different and so much better than anything else in this series), then read novel 8, to sorta understand where in the anime/manga you left off, and then start with novel 9 (Seisakoku arc) for new material. You will be missing out on: 1) Yuuri being a completely different character   2) Wolfram’s character development. 3) The yuuram relationship development. But hey, if you wanna skip everything that’s good in this series is up to you.Cheers!
