Day 8
Another drawing of Fierce, well on Gamejolt I post drawings of Fierce quite a bit that's why I say that. Not complaining.
Got kinda excited to do this more, maybe more than yesterday's. Was losing some energy at some point but I guess the shading saved it. Limiting myself to basically just a color palette is interesting to be honest. Not bad for first time.
Some art I've done recently and just haven't posted.
First is an interaction between my OC, Mal and my friend @katimuxx's OC, Flesh. The reaction is for reasons unknown currently.
Second: My old version of my persona, who is just called, "Original Stripes" went back to the past [2022], meeting the old versions of Fierce and Courage. It was a funny one to draw.
Third: Kind of a what if scenario of Discourage and DKS fighting. Wouldn't happen realistically given their personalities but a fun one.
Fourth: Reference sheet for my persona.
Fifth: A younger version of Fierce fighting against her universe version of the sixth human aka the Justice soul. It didn't end well for them.

These three OCs of mine happened to have the right colors of the flag. I made this last year on my Gamejolt account too and felt like remaking it. While I still want to.
On the left is Disrupt, her outfit is no longer like this but for sake of the colors, made her wear her old hoodie.
Fierce is in the middle, she's not really smiling, she's kinda just like annoyed smile. She doesn't wanna be here xd.
Astro is chill and is much taller than the other two.
Also sorry for disappearing, I'm more active on Gamejolt than here. StripesJ is my username on Gamejolt by the way.
A Very Serious Trio [My Fell OC Fierce on top left, Discourage, swap OC disbelief timeline on bottom left, me/Stripes on right.]
Was fun to make this [except that Fierce's outlines got annoying that she was practically trolling both me and Discourage. Discourage got annoying at times but it was really Fierce.]
Fierce's birth name is Rose but hates it, she lets some call her by her birth name and by lets, she aggressively tolerates it. My other OCs have birth names since these aren't their real names but I won't show them for now.

Our world does not welcome wild things.
As a zoology student, this is a brutal truth I must face. We slaughter keystone predators, leaving ecosystems to rot, then ponder why we are so overrun by the animals they hunt. We destroy forests, jungles, prairies and marshlands, then wonder why these pests dare encroach on our land.
We hunt rare creatures for their tusks, for their horns, for their skin, for their bones, forcing those that remain onto reserves, culling them when their populations grow beyond our control. Our highest-ranking political figures publicly delight in murdering endangered species for mere thrill of the hunt. If a creature is fierce, or frightening, or mysterious, or beautiful… we kill it.
This is why How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is important. Grimmel is a trophy hunter. He kills dragons for the fun of it. Because Night Furies are beautiful and rare and dangerous and the world heralds him as a hero for it. He doesn’t need another reason for it, anymore than any of the trophy hunters of our world need a reason for shooting an elephant and proudly posing with its bloody tail other than it boosts their egos.
“Our world doesn’t deserve you…”
…because our world destroys all that which is fierce and beautiful and wild. So until the day comes when mankind stops desecrating, polluting, and exploiting the natural world we are meant to protect, I hope the dragons stay hidden, where man cannot reach them.
I'd cut my hands on a paring knife if it meant he'd be happy and full of sliced persimmons. I'd happily bleed for him and wouldn't even care, so long as he's okay.
Had the urge to sketch Aziraphale. Loved his serious expression and penciled on mustache.
Also loved drawing him in a black tux.

In another night of "Gwendolyn Reads" Lady G takes on Jessica Brody's Unremembered! So far so good! So fierce.
Cedric Diggoy
Cedric Diggory was an important character as he embodied all we missed out on, not knowing more Hufflepuff characters closely. Dumbledore’s speech about how he was a fierce friend, chose to do what’s right over what was easy, and was shown to constantly be his biggest opponent, not hating those who bested him but only trying to better himself.
It is these Hufflepuff traits that are one of the two main reasons this character has had such a profound impact. Being the complete opposite of boastful, even before Harry told him about the Dragons he tried to stop people hating on Harry, knowing there was enough Hogwarts pride to go around. This extends to the previous year when he catches the golden snitch just moments after the Dementors come onto the Quidditch field and paralyze Harry. He feels this wasn’t a fair win and as Captain, protests against their win to no prevail. A sentiment he carries even during the Quidditch World Cup when his father brags about how ‘’he beat thee Harry Potter!”
One could go on forever about Cedric, it really is no wonder why Cho loved him, (even thou I got the impression that if given both options she would’ve chosen Harry) but what equally sticks out is Cedric’s impact and representation of the innocent victims of war. While the film overall was horrendously shackled together, the scene in the film and book bring me to tears long before his death and their return to Hogwarts. He was just a good person, in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The reaction of his classmates and especially his father and the circumstances were meant to highlight how truly ugly and unnecessary war is. There was no reason for his death, and like most wars even the young men and children who survive physically lose their minds to it. Finally, on a small level, Harry’s guilt and other’s reactions for his survival and Cedric’s death reminds me of the understanding how death happens to those left behind; as while Cedric comes back as a ghost momentarily he thinks only of his parents and unknowingly remains as a force in Harry to stop Voldemort.
Luna Lovegood
There are many, many, many reasons to love Luna Lovegood as well as lessons about how we should be:
she’s honest
she’s conscientious, and not the center of the universe
she’s confident in herself
she’s brave for herself and others
she’s supportive and understanding of her friends and others
she's not prejudiced and address’ it in others
this list can go on for pages and pages of a tumblr article.
Along with all Luna (and Evanna Lynch) taught us, and was a role model for those who didn’t feel like they belonged or were considered less than, she taught us a lot with the unexpected relationships she had with two characters: Hermione and Harry
Hermione, seen as a brilliant, kind and caring Witch, was cruel to Luna at first as she was opposite, but not opposite, of Hermione. Luna showed us with her relationship with Hermione a few flaws of Hermione along with growth and with Luna, what it meant to be truly open and accepting. Both intelligent, heroic and compassionate, their core similarities ended there. While important, Hermione let the values of acceptance and appearance overshadow curiosity and open-mindedness; which are both very important and defining characteristics of any person. It is so, so, so important to not only be open-minded and interested in the world around you, people’s beliefs, but also people in general. Even the villains in Harry Potter weren’t all evil or heroes all good.
Harry, this is one of my biggest umphs, Luna was the best character we knew for Harry romantically, because of how natural they were together. Sure, like all relationships Luna had there was a bit of a warming up period, but once they met and interacted, she just got him. When he wanted to hide after the battle, she could recognize him even when disguised with Polyjoice Potion, how it felt to not know one’s parent(s), she just got him. It’s rare, and doesn’t have to be romantic, but is such a beautiful relationship and connection that some people have. That without words or
Professor McGonagall
Today is the birthday of Professor McGonagall, our stern but motherly figure while attending Hogwarts, especially for those in her house, Gryffindor. While off topic, as JK Rowling stated she wanted English actors only to portray the Hogwarts students, she also stated that she always wanted Maggie Smith to portray Professor (Minerva) McGonagall who not only played the part but held it as dear to her heart as we do, as she continued to film both Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II.
Professor McGonagall was always a great mother figure to me as she was clearly an independent woman; she was also strict and fair: important qualities for someone who is going to need to guide young wizards, teach, and be a guardian at a boarding school. She was also a role model, maybe not directly as Hermione Granger was, but she taught all of her students (readers included) to stand up for themselves, believe in themselves, and be honest and truthful about yourself, to yourself, and your surroundings.
Some of my best moments with her will always be in regards to Neville, who throughout his years as a students at Hogwarts she repeatedly told him that all he needed was confidence. She further pushed this when after the O.W.L.S. she stood up for him to himself, reminding him that he should be proud of his accomplishments and not base his happiness on his grandmother. With these developments, and her change from guardian to friend as our Hogwarts friends grew older, there was much to admire and adore and want in a personal relationship with Professor McGonagall, all before getting to her history and heartbreak pre-Hogwarts years and her odd relationship with Dumbledore. She was force to be reckoned with, her and her Maggie Smith, and I encourage all to re-read the books and explore her history more to understand how truly Brave, Clever and Kind she was.
