Ok so here’s the story featuring Puppet Queen and Marionette. I worked them into a request for my friend, @naruwitch​, where Marinette and Luka get akumatized and Adrien learns his inaction and bad advice has serious consequences. I had a lot of fun writing this so yay me. Also I’m closing requests for these prompts for a little bit. I have a few I need to catch up on so I’ll reopen requests when I’m caught up but I’m not sure when that will be. Anyway hope you guys like this :)

Tears rolled down Marinette’s face as she held onto the lucky charm Adrien had given her for her birthday. She was sat on her chaise lounge with a number of her handmade dolls near her. She had a Volpina one on the floor, along with the Bubbler and the Lady Wifi doll. She had been talking to them as if they were their real life counterparts. She was trying not to bottle up her hurt as she knew it wasn’t healthy. Normally, it worked but today she was finding it harder then usual. Today in class, Lila had claimed that Marinette had attacked her and had been bullying her. As a result, Alya and Nino had renounced their friendship with Marinette and turned their back on her. They completely believed Lila’s lies about her supposedly bullying her and told Marinette in front of the whole class, including Miss Bustier, that they would couldn’t be friends with a jealous bully like her, which in turn had caused the rest of the class to turn against her, expect for Juleka. She had been the only one who tried to point out that it wasn’t Marinette’s normal behavior. Sure, she had her moments when she got jealous of people but always got past it. As usual everyone ignored her but the real blow had came when Marinette tried to stick up for herself and tell them the truth. Hoping that Adrien would tell the truth, she turned to him and asked him to tell them. Adrien, however, didn’t. She wasn’t sure if he panicked or if he just didn’t want to call Lila out but he turned around and said that he didn’t know what she was talking about. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he then pulled her aside and told her to drop it, telling that ‘they were just lies’, that 'no one was getting hurt’ and long as they both knew, it didn’t matter if Lila was lying or not. She didn’t stay after that. Despite Miss Bustier calling for her, Marinette rushed home and straight into her room, where she cried for a few minutes before taking out her dolls. She tried to talk them, telling them about how she felt but the real string of betrayal had come from Adrien. Since she didn’t have a doll of him, she took out the lucky charm he had given her but instead of talking, she just began to cry again. In a simple act of trying to 'keep the peace’, he had broke her heart in two. She jumped a little as she heard a knock on her trapdoor.

“C-Come in?” The trap door opened and to her surprise, Luka climbed through. As soon as he fully in the room and the trap door closed, Marinette rushed over to him, throwing her arms around him. He caught her and held her close as she began to cry.

 "Ssh, it’s ok, Melody,“ He whispered, leading her back over to her chaise longue. Marinette let him sit her down before he sat next to her and held her close to him. "Juleka messaged me and asked me to come by to check on you. She didn’t tell me what happened but mentioned that you ran out of the school in tears,”

Marinette nodded as she held onto him. He frowned a little as he held her, stroking the top of her head.

Sabine frowned as Marinette came into the bakery with her shoulders slouched. She walked over and gave a gentle kiss on her cheek as she greeted her before heading back into the apartment. Sabine sighed softly as she frowned. Marinette was usually so full of energy and creativity but recently, she seemed drained for lack of better term. She had dark circles around her eyes and her skin seemed to lack it’s glow. She was getting worst at getting up to get ready for the day to the point where it seemed like that she was trying to avoid going to school. Sabine was confused as to why. Chloe had calmed down on her bullying and was getting better and Marinette had friends such as Alya and the girls. not to mention her crush was attending the school. Sabine smiled and thanked the customer before continuing with her work. Tom shoot her a kind smile as they worked before it began to quiet down and her mind fluttered back to Marinette. She believed her and Tom were good parents and that Marinette could come to them if she needed their help. Her mind flashed back to the day Marinette got expelled. She frowned as she thought about it. It was a few weeks before then that Marinette started to act stranger then usual but that day seemed to the catalyst of a sort. Marinette hasn’t been the same since. Sabine sighed gently and began to close up the shop. Once that was done, her and Tom headed up to the apartment and into the living room. To her surprise, they found Marinette curled up on the sofa asleep. Her phone was laid next to her. Sabine smiled softly and moved the blanket over her before picking up her phone. She went to place it on the coffee table but a message came through, showing the phone was unlocked. Sabine frowned as she saw the message.

FoxyWifi: Maybe the reason why you’re ignoring me is because you did it. I hope so, bitch

Sabine frowned deeply at the message. She knew FoxyWifi was Alya’s chat name but why was she calling Marinette bitch and what did she mean by did it. She frowned and pressed the icon, revealing the chat between Alya and Marinette. She scrolled up to the chat and began to read the messages.

Ok but guys what if Luka shows up during an akuma attack and saves mari like mari is in danger and chat sees he’s about to go save her only to see that at the last moment some guy he doesn’t know just picks mari up saves her from the akuma and he just stands there like ‘who the fuck just ran off with my princess like that ONLY I CAN CARRY MARI LIKE THAT WHAT THE FUCK MAN’ and completely forgets about the akuma and goes tracks down who the hell just ran off with mari because he’s marinette’s knight in shinning leather not whoever this guy is and that’s how Adrien meets Luka and they become rivals for mari’s affection

You Guys Are Overhating Adrien

First, i’d like to say that i copied one of my youtube comments so if you somehow see that comment know that i didn’t steal anything :)

Ok, i had to write this, even if no one is going to see. i can understand why people are mad at adrien as he is repeatedly calling marinette "just a friend". but i feel like y'all are forgetting how adrien didn't have a proper childhood. he didn't have any friends (except chloe) and so didnt know what friendship actually is. if we think about her female friends there are just: alya, marinette, kagami and ladybug. he is already in love w/ ladybug. probably he thinks that the reason why he feels different with alya and marinette is because alya has a bf. also till kagami turned to oni-chan and confessed her love to adrien, he was probably seeing her as a friend too. so what i try to say is he doesnt now what a proper friendship is. thats' why he keeps saying she's just a friend. also i have to add this too: marinette is one of his first friends so even if he knows that he has some small feelings deep inside himself, he is afraid that he can be interpreting them wrong and can end up with ruining one of the first friendships that he had. yes, that was it! i wish you understood what i tried to say cuz its kinda complex.

Apparently some people don't see why Lukanette wouldn't last if we forget about Marinette's superhero duties.

If you all were so smart to notice Chat Noir "flirting" and swooning over Ladybug in your attempt to prove why Adrigami wouldn't work out, why are you being blind about Marinette calling Luka "Adrien" three times in a row?

Why are you ignoring Adrien's pictures on Marinette's wall?

Why are you forgetting about her swooning over Adrien minutes before she was supposed to go on a date with Luka?

Right, the date she also completely forgot about?

And then also forgot what the fuck are they even supposed to do on a said date?

Even though Marinette has a forgetful nature, when she is truly in love she doesn't forget and I don't think even the greatest guardian duties wouldn't prevent her from being excited about a date with her loved one.

And before you say "writers are not allowing her to move on", you just confirmed yourself Adrien is also not allowed to move on.

Compatible or not, Marinette is not in love with Luka.

She likes him, but she is not in love.

That doesn't mean she should go back to her obsession towards Adrien, but it also doesn't mean she should date Luka just because things with Adrien are currently not working out.

Because that was a base of their relationship.

Lukanette was born from Luka willingly offering himself to Marinette as her second choice, saying quote: "If things between you and Adrien don't work out, I'll be here for you".

It wasn't the case of Luka "stealing" Marinette's heart and truly making her forget about Adrien with his charm, music and whatnot.

He didn't make her fall in love with him.

He was just there, waiting and offering himself as someone who Marinette could come to when all her other choices fail.

And she went to him, not because she fell for him, but because he offered himself and because she liked him as a person.

This sounds awful, but it is essentially the base of their romantic relationship.

So there is your answer as to why Lukanette wouldn't work out romantically.

It's because there wasn't any romance to begin with.

There was only a guy willing to accept a girl who's in love with someone else and a girl who took that chance because it was offered to her.

No wonder that kind of relationship failed.

I also think Luka deserves better, but not in the context of "deserves better from Marinette". Deserves better for me is just send the boy off overseas, and stop making him be the "mediator" to the love square problems. Why the heck does HE have to deal with that? Even if he's nice enough not to see it as a problem, solve y'all on problems.

Why would people would ship Luka with a girl he hasn't even canonically met (Zoe) and look away from a genuinely good friends to lovers ship (Lukanette)?

An eye-rolling mixture of reasons:

1. The visual connections: the highlights, the crazy shoes, the torn pants (Zoe has a small rip in hers), et cetera.

2. Some multishippers (people who ship both love square and Lukanette) are quick to pawn Luka off on another girl so that love square can be their endgame while Luka is still with someone.

3. The above also goes for love square shippers who don't ship Lukanette. It's easy to say, "oh, see? Luka can't get with Marinette because... b-because he's with Zoe!"

4. Spite. Some people want to "teach Marinette a lesson" and have her be "too late" to go back to Luka so that she can go running to Adrien/Chat afterwards.

5. The """Luka Deserves Better""" crowd, often love square shippers disguising themselves as Luka supporters or spontaneously liking/supporting Luka as a way of discrediting Lukanette. Plus, Zoe's rich and blond and "perfect"; Marinette could never hope to compete.

6. The faux Lukanette shippers who immediately stop shipping it now that it's "over" and "not canon anymore" (so they then go onto ship Luka/Zoe instead which is also not canon ¬_¬).

No judging to people who find intrigue in shipping characters who haven't interacted before because maybe they want to play around with the idea just in general or anything. It's just that, when that's not the case, some people have really obvious motives, lol.

Someone’s distracted

The double standards of this fandom is really showing after that last episode. Everyone (or most ignorant people) is mad at Luka for not telling Marinette he knows she's ladybug, but you mean to tell me no one said ANYTHING when Adrien found out in Chat Blanc? And kept it a secret from her, until the last possible moment? I get it guys, knowing the identity can bring consequences, (cough *chat blanc* cough) but why go all out on Luka cuz he's "not telling the truth" but say absolutely nothing when Chat does the exact same thing? Or am I to assume, because Chatblanc got a reset it was absolutely FINE. Not to mention the fact that Adrien only used knowing her Identity to benefit HIMSELF, but Luka now knowing the reason why Marinette had to break up with him, is not using the opportunity to get back with her. I call bullshit here.

If I had the opportunity to gain one super power in the world, it would be the ability to melt like an ice-cream for about a good five minutes. Because some of the fics I've been reading lately with my favourite otps, really have me feeling mad I can't physically melt in a puddle of goo. It's just feels so appropriate 😥
